Satan

Postby Phoenix » Wed May 25, 2011 7:21 am

I wish to make a public apology to Satan for ridiculing his existence and making derisory comments. From my studies Satan is real and is a member of the Divine Council of the Canaanite/Israelite pantheon. He is/was appointed by Yahweh/El/Lord most High/God to "accuse" or "test". Satan or Ha-satan is a deity subservient to the Chief God of the pantheon.
However, only too commonly, we look for a scapegoat when we 'mess up'. The scapegoat here is Satan. Man refuses to accept responsibility for his/her actions as it is easier to blame others as we all know through 'compensation culture' which is rife in our times.
The old adage holds true here...Learn by your mistakes.

Bravo P.

It all to easy to say "Satan made me do it", but then I don't confuse Satan with the devil, because I don't believe in the devil, that a christian concept, not mine.

Have to admit though, he has had very bad press for a very long time, I suppose because most people think Satan and the Devil are one and the same because that the way they were brought up.

I love you, I'll always love you, I'll never leave you, I'll always be with you, until the end of time.

In the Old Testment Satan was refered to as an opposer. So anyone who opposed the Isrealites was an opposer or a satan. The New Testament appears to have made Satan into the present form.
