April fool's day

Postby Aren » Fri Mar 30, 2012 4:44 pm

Thought I'd get in early with this one....

What are your most memorable April fool's day jokes? And what's in store for us this year?

I remember a few years ago, on April 1st, in the morning, the local radio carrying a report that the different council districts were painting their welcoming road signs in different colours according to the area, and having their own mascots on the signs - e.g. hedgehogs or rabbits.

I thought, yeah that's a good one!! But it was true!!   :o :o :o

I remember when I was small, one of brothers put cling film over the toilet  to this day, I still don't know which was responsible

That is the April fool that sticks out in my mind.

I remember one of the DIY stores doing an advert for Tartan paint...

and something in a magazine about a building getting built "upside down" - allegedley "because the architect had the plans the wrong way up"

and a fizzy drinks company coming out with some outrageous flavours... something like horsechestnut and popping candy, or naval-fluff and mint

and I noticed in the local paper "what's ons" there's gonna be a zombie hunt in one of our local car parks at the weekend...

*suckers*
