Help please.

HELP!
My team has been approached by a lady whose story I will paraphrase.
She bought a mirror from an antique shop and took it home. Around this time a tabby cat appeared like a stray and was taken on as the family cat.  The cat was fully touchable and was from then the a part of the family. Secondly there was a slowly building presence in the ladies bedroom at night. One day whilst cleaning picture frames etc the mirror was taken down for a while and the lady saw the tabby cat slowly walk into the mirror as if going through a cat flap. The lady panicked and through the mirror into the car and drove to the tip where she broke the mirror and went home. The cat was never seen again. The presence remains. 
So I have researched mirrors and found their use in Scrying and the story of looking into a mirror and summoning something nasty. Of course there are the omens of breaking mirrors and covering them at funerals. But then I have read about them being portals too. So what extra information can anyone throw my way. Do I take another mirror in and ask the bedroom presence to enter the mirror and then break that, or as some binding rituals suggest, wrap it up and bury it in the earth? Do we try to use the technique of cleansing an area by imagining the ball of White light expanding until it pushes all entities out beyond the house Walls? Or will burning sage everywhere around the house help?
Please tell me anything you know.

Hi Chris. Would you mind if I ask a couple more questions ?

When the woman saw the cat walk into the mirror, did she have a clear view of this? From what angle was she looking? I'm just trying the remove the possibililty of an optical illusion.

I'm not sure I believe in portals, but if I accept that the mirror was functioning as a portal, surely it would be impossible for a cat to go through it. I'm thinking that portals transport energy, not solid things like cats ? I might be wrong on this though, and other members may have better info on this than me.

Is it a spirit thats in the bedroom or something else? Has anyone tried to communicate with it? What makes you think its a negative spirit? Whats happened when you have asked it to leave? Sorry for so many questions Chris and hope you get to the bottom of this x

Ok to summarise is difficult because it was another team member that told me about the email we received. The cat was seen as clear as day entering the mirror and disappearing never to be seen again. The presence upstairs is not proven to be good or bad but the woman is scared of it, but yes that doesn't mean it's negative. I am trying to present her with an explanation by the time we go to meet her. The lady is a nurse and very rational and IRS taken her two years to come forward and felt better for telling us with the hope of us believing her. Time will tell. You don't believe in portals? If you saw a cat walk into a mirror would you be persuaded? However mad it sounds I have to treat it as real to begin to find an answer.

No one has tried to communicate with it. Apparently the activity is increasing but I have not heard directly from the lady yet. I will meet her in the next two weeks.

You should ask a spiritual medium to help move the spirit on into the light, as it maybe confused or need persading to join its rightful place in the light. Churches seem to tell unwanted spirits that they are evil and scare them away when they could be looking for help.

I can't help, sorry, as I not into paranormal investigations, but it does seem to me that you are well out of your depth and should pass this to another group who are more experienced, as you don't really know what exactly you are dealing with and could make matters worse.

I have heard of too many cases where people think they can handle certain situations and they can't, and the consequences have been serious so another group is called in to try sort things out and clean up the mess.

Oh how fascinating! Sounds like the mirror is a portal. There are many instances of, usually people, vanishing into thin air or appearing from seemingly nowhere. What a pity she broke the mirror. This is verging on theoretical / quantum physics

Hi Chris. I do hope you find the answer to this and the woman can feel comfortable in her home again.

I think the only way forward is to communicate with the spirit/entity. I'm guessing that it will have the answers you need. Its interesting that activity has increased recently - is this increase since the woman contacted your group ? I'm also thinking that you'll need a really good medium for this - I say this because we dont really know much about this entity and to get the answers you need, you'll need very precise communication.

I dont know if you are a medium Chris and if you'll try to communicate yourself with the spirit. If you do, please let me know before and I'll try to send some protection/spirit guide help your way. I'm not very good at that sort of thing but I'll try my best xx

NOVA I would love to have advice about protection for myself and team. I am not a medium and yet the more I investigate the more I get an instinct about what to ask etc. I never get headaches either through illness but on locations I get a thick head at times and if I ask for the spirit to step back it goes. I find that very exciting. We will be table tipping to receive answers and hopefully the client will join in too since she may have an instinct at what to ask better than us guessing.
